Translation pyramid

Translation is the process of writing a new version of a text in one language in another language. Translation is hard but fun.

Who can translate?

Anyone can translate as long as they know two languages. Many students enjoy translating because they get to learn new things, show off their skills, and help others learn new things.

What do I have to think about when translating?

  • Choosing the right word
  • Making it sound natural
  • Audience
  • Checking that the text means the same as the original
